4minute members profile

Cube Entertainment created the South Korean girl group 4Minute (Korean: commonly stylized as 4MINUTE) in 2009. Nam Ji-Hyun, Heo Ga-Yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Kim Hyun-a, and Kwon So-Hyun comprised the group. The band was noted for its edgy dance-pop sound and “girl crush” image, which drew a sizable female fan base. Before  the formal announcement, the group was known as the “Hyuna group.” Nam Ji-Hyun, the next member, was unveiled on May 22.
The rest of the members were announced the next day.

On June 15, 4Minute released their first song, “Hot Issue,” and on June 18, they made their television debut on MNet Countdown. On June 21, fans broke into the group’s van and stole clothes and other stuff. “It was really sad that such an incident transpired,” Cube Entertainment stated. The group disbanded on June 13, 2016, after their contract expired, the only one to renew the contract was hyuna, only Hyuna renewing her contract with the management agency. “As the contract expiration date approaches, the members have been in negotiations for renewal, but while the agency tried to convenience half of them to continue the group, it ended up recognizing the decision of the four members that they would not continue as a group,” a Cube Entertainment spokesperson said. The group will disintegrate for all intents and purposes due to the members’ differing opinions.
