Titled CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, the tribute is set to air in October and will celebrate Dolly’s remarkable career as a singer, songwriter, entertainer, humanitarian, and entrepreneur.
The special will feature live performances, archival footage, and personal stories highlighting the impact Dolly made on country music and generations of fans around the world.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said honoring Dolly’s legacy is “our way of saying thank you” to the artists, industry members, and fans who found a piece of themselves in her music.
The event will be filmed live at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, with Robert Deaton serving as executive producer.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, extending the celebration of her legacy through the organization’s mission of providing books to children.
