Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges have been married for about five months, and the country star says this new chapter of life has been nothing short of incredible.
The couple exchanged vows on May 10 at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, celebrating with a wedding that was beautiful, welcoming and intentionally relaxed.
Since then, Wilson has been settling into married life with the man she says has become one of the most important people in her world.
During an interview with *Entertainment Tonight* ahead of her performance at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Wilson opened up about how things have been going with Hodges.
When asked about newlywed life, Wilson couldn’t resist teasing her husband.
“I haven’t gotten rid of him yet. That probably surprises him,” she joked before quickly adding, “No, I’m playing. It’s been absolutely incredible. It just feels good. It feels like we’re just turning the page into this beautiful chapter.”
Wilson then made it clear just how deeply she feels about her husband.
“He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m telling you. He’s a good man,” she said.
The couple first met through mutual friends, and their relationship has grown alongside some of the biggest moments of Wilson’s career. Throughout their romance, she has frequently spoken about Hodges’ support and the important role he plays in her life.

Wilson and Hodges got married on May 10, 2026, at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.
Speaking with *Vogue* about their wedding, Wilson explained that the couple was drawn to the venue because of its simplicity. They wanted the celebration to feel special and beautiful while still being comfortable and welcoming for everyone attending.
“We wanted it to be special and beautiful, but really welcoming and comfortable for our guests,” Wilson said.
The couple worked with event planners Hugh Howser and Kate Steele of H Three Events to bring their vision together.
Wilson also wanted the celebration to reflect her Louisiana roots. Rather than creating an overly formal affair, the couple embraced a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of personality.
They hired the 12-piece jazz band Rebirth and served a Cajun-inspired meal prepared by chefs from Wilson’s bar, Bell Bottoms Up.
“We tried not to take ourselves too seriously,” Wilson explained, adding that she wanted to bring “a little bit of Cajun flair” to the celebration.

Wilson and Hodges dated for nearly four years before getting engaged in February 2025. Their relationship began after they met through mutual friends, with their first date taking place at a bar called Silverados.
Wilson later recalled the date during an interview with *People*, joking about the venue’s budget-friendly appeal.
“It had free beer and wine from 5 to 10PM,” she recalled.
Rather than being put off by Hodges’ approach to the date, Wilson found it charming.
“I was like, ‘This boy likes to ball on a budget, too. This is gonna work out!’” she said.
And it certainly did.
From their early days of dating to their engagement and eventual wedding, Wilson and Hodges have continued building their relationship while navigating the demands of her growing country music career.
Now, five months into marriage, Wilson appears to be embracing this next chapter with plenty of happiness—and, of course, a little playful teasing for her husband along the way.
