Country Star Ella Langley Says Her Spending Habits Finally Needed a Reality Check

Country singer Ella Langley is learning that success can sometimes come with a little too much shopping — and her business manager recently stepped in to hit the brakes.

The “Choosin’ Texas” hitmaker admitted that her spending had started to get out of control, revealing in an interview with Taste of Country ahead of the 59th annual CMA Awards that she was officially told to stop splurging.

“My business manager was like, ‘No more splurge purchasing — you’re done!’” Langley joked, recalling the moment after she spent nearly $200 during a visit to a candle store.

According to Langley, her weakness is easy to explain: she loves candles — especially sweet and calming scents.

“I like sweet scents, but I also love clean smells, like a eucalyptus candle for my bathroom,” she said. “I need as much Zen as I can get.”

A New Home and a New Chapter

Candles aren’t the only big purchase the rising country star has made recently. Langley also bought her first home in her home state of Alabama, a milestone she shared with fans during a performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium following a break from touring.

During that time away from the road, she focused on her health and personal life, finally getting the chance to slow down and reflect.

“I bought my first house, and I actually got to sit in it for the first time,” she previously told fans, explaining how the moment helped her see how much her hard work was changing both her life and her family’s.

Although she doesn’t get to visit home often due to her busy schedule, Langley says owning a place of her own has been deeply meaningful.

Too Busy to Shop Anyway

With her career accelerating, shopping may not be much of an issue moving forward. Langley’s momentum continues to grow after winning multiple honors at the 2025 CMA Awards for her collaboration “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green.

Her upcoming schedule is packed with major tour dates, including joining Eric Church on the Free The Machine Tour and hitting the road with Morgan Wallen on the Still The Problem Tour.

Between award wins, touring, and new milestones, Langley may have found the perfect solution to her spending problem — staying too busy to shop.
