K-Drama Action Required Review

Ok, y’all need to stop whatever the hell it is you’re doing and watch this show. It is hilarious. I tried to find this show on Viki or Netflix when Choi Siwon first posted it on his Instagram page. The only legal site I found that was streaming it was On Demand Korea.

So far I have watched 8 episodes and I think 12 episodes is expected.

This show is about three women So Hee (Lee Sun Bin), Ji Goo (Jung Eun Ji, from Reply 1997), and Ji Yeon (Han Sun Hwa, from Backstreet Rookie) who are best friends and drink together every night after work. Han Sun Hwa and Jung Eun Ji’s acting was completely different from other roles I’ve seen them in.

I have been waiting for Jung Ji Eun to make a TV comeback, her one scene in Backstreet Rookie was not enough. Ji Yeon is a ditsy girl who seems like she doesn’t know anything but has moments of genius that shocks everyone. Ji Goo doesn’t talk much and is dark and broody (completely opposite from Sung Shi Won in Reply 1997). So Hee is a writer for a variety show and has her own crazy going on.

It starts off with a guy named Hak Su (Kim Ji Suk) who gets set up on three different blind dates. All three women are very different but they have one thing in common, they can out drink an entire frat house. All three of the women he went on blind dates with are best friends since university.

The first few episodes goes into their drinking antics then story gets a little deeper into their back stories. I love the bond between these three women and how unique each of them are. My favourite part is in episode 7 at around 7:20 minutes, you will know when you get it. I’ve said too much. This show is an absolute must watch for all the laughs.
