YG Entertainment has made an official announcement about BLACK PINK Lisa’s scam.
On the 2nd, Market News reported that Lisa was scammed by a former manager who had been in charge of her manager since her debut, in the $800K range. The story goes on to say that he received money for using Lisa’s trust to look into real estate, which he used up in gambling.
In response, YG Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as “YG”) admitted that it had confirmed that Lisa had fallen victim to the scam from her former manager, Mr. A as a result of its internal understanding.
YG explained, “Lisa’s desire to settle the matter amicably with her former manager, who she trusted, led Mr. A to repay a portion of the money, and agreed to a repayment plan for the rest of the money, and he has now left the company.
YG said, “We apologize to our fans who love our artists for any concerns they may have caused. While we are extremely troubled by Mr. A’s misuse of the artist’s trusting relationship with us, we are keenly aware of the responsibility of management and supervision. We are taking steps to prevent this from happening again,” he stressed.
