Dolly Parton Teams Up With Reba, Miley Cyrus, Lainey Wilson & Queen Latifah For Special Re-Release

Country legend Dolly Parton celebrated a special milestone by re-releasing her classic song “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” alongside four guest artists.

On January 15, Parton shared a brand-new version of the song featuring Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus, and Queen Latifah to celebrate her 80th birthday. The track is a refreshed take on the inspiring song she originally wrote and released in 1977.

Parton also revealed that all proceeds from the recording and its music video will support pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.

The collaboration quickly gained major attention and even landed on two Billboard charts. The song debuted at No. 41 on the Country Airplay chart and reached No. 1 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart.

Reacting to the achievement, Parton shared that it felt like the perfect birthday gift. She thanked fans, radio programmers, and streaming partners for supporting the project. According to the announcement, the track also earned Hot Shot Debut honors and saw a major jump in airplay, gaining more than 1,800 spins and reaching about 2.5 million listener impressions.

The accomplishment is especially meaningful for Parton, as it comes exactly 60 years after her first appearance on a Billboard chart. In 1966, she co-wrote “Put It Off Until Tomorrow,” which was recorded by Bill Phillips and later peaked at No. 6 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Decades later, Parton continues to prove that her music — and her impact — remain as powerful as ever.
