Country riser Ella Langley recently gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at a meaningful change — showing off a brand-new tattoo while confidently shutting down online criticism.
The “Choosin’ Texas” singer documented the experience on her Instagram Story on Tuesday (February 17), sharing moments from her tattoo session with artist A.J. Lingerfeldt. The new artwork replaces an older design — a tequila shot glass and lime that had previously been inked on her arm.
A More Personal Design
Langley chose to transform the tattoo into something deeply connected to her current artistic chapter. Lingerfeldt covered the original image with a large floral design, resembling blooming roses, and added a delicate dandelion beneath them in its soft, seed-blown form.
The dandelion isn’t just decorative — it directly references Langley’s upcoming sophomore album, Dandelion. The singer clearly views the project as a major milestone, opting to carry a permanent symbol of it with her.
Fans were treated to before-and-after photos showing the transformation from the original tattoo to the finished piece, highlighting the dramatic change in style and meaning.
A Confident Response to Criticism
While many followers praised the new ink, not everyone approved. One Facebook user criticized Langley’s decision, joking that she would soon end up with a full sleeve — something he implied wasn’t positive.
Langley didn’t let the comment slide quietly. In a playful but firm response shared on Instagram, she joked, “I will get one on my eyeball, Steve. I will get one on my eyeball,” making it clear she’s unapologetic about expressing herself through body art.
Her reaction quickly resonated with fans, who applauded her humor and confidence.
A New Era Begins with Dandelion
The tattoo arrives just weeks ahead of the release of Langley’s new album, Dandelion, set to drop on April 10. The project is co-produced by Langley alongside Miranda Lambert and producer Ben West.
To support the album, Langley will launch a tour beginning May 7 in Toledo, Ohio, before wrapping up on August 15 in Fort Worth, Texas after a 16-date run.
Fans have already gotten a preview of the record through several releases, including the title track, the breakout hit “Choosin’ Texas,” and her latest single, “Be Her,” released February 13.
