Girl’s Day is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2010. They are known for their catchy tunes and cute choreography. The members of Girl’s Day are Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri.
Sojin was born in Daegu, South Korea. She debuted with Girl’s Day as one of the initial members and released her first solo single “Our Love like This” for a Korean drama- Flames of Desire OST . In 2011 she composed songs such as “Telepathy” and co wrote lyrics to Girl’s Day singles – Let’s Go’.
Sojin is a girl who never stops, always on the go! She loves to clean and tidy up her room. Sometimes she cuddles with her bunny or plays piano for hours in solitude. But most of all Sojin enjoys cooking delicious snacks that are filled with sugar!
“I love being around other people,” said Sojon warmly while eating some chips at Noon Company Headquarters. “So when I’m not working here as an artist manager, I’ll be active doing things like teaching kids English!”
Yura is a dancer and painter that was born in South Korea. She loves to dance, listen to music, and paint pictures of her favorite people. Yura has been taking classes since she could walk! At Ulsan Art High School (alongside Minah) she studied every type of art imaginable: painting, sculpture modeling clay sculpting jewelry design… but it turns out dancing clicked with her the most so now when you see this amazing artist on stage swaying from side-to-side or moving up & down as if gravity doesn’t apply to her — don’t be surprised because we all know how much effort goes into making each move seem natural for us mortals 😉
The contract that Yura had with Dream Tea Ent. expired and she made the decision to not renew it, which means Girl’s Day will be down one person in 2020. However, just over two months later on March 20th we found out of her new agency Awesome ENT., but only time can tell what this change really entails for herself as well as groups like Girls’ Generation or Twice who have also experienced member changes recently due to retirement decisions from their members such as Jessica Jung or Tzuyu.
Minah was born in Incheon, South Korea.
She has an older sister who is also a famous singer – Wanna.B’s Linah
Minah attended Jinsun Girls’ High School and Dongduk Women’s University where she majored in Broadcasting (enjoying singing as well). She debuted with Girl’s Day back when they first formed the group back in 2010 but then went on to become important cast member of ‘Law of the Jungle’. 2015 saw her debut solo album release titled “I Am A Woman Too”. Minuh can play piano beautifully and imitate Lena Park perfectly too! Even though you might not know it just from looking at her cute face, this girl knows how to work hard; Minah is very ambitious and she doesn’t like to bother other people so she just does everything by herself.
Minah is friends with fellow Korean idols from JBJ and Hotshot. She dated Tottenham’s soccer player Son Heungmin for 2 years, but their relationship ended in 2015. Minah then released a song entitled “Russian Roulette,” which was about the breakup between her and he ex-boyfriend.
Hyeri was born in Gwangju, South Korea. She has a younger sister named Hye-rim who is 2 years her junior. Hyeri used to be an ordinary kid without any dreams of becoming famous until she met Dream Tea Entertainment’s scout when she was still in middle school and they saw potential for her future as a singer! Luckily enough, the company liked what they saw and offered Hyeri to join their crew alongside Yura – two other girls that were also scouted by DTE at the same time after Jiin left Girl’s Day due to personal reasons with Jisun following suit shortly afterwards from “other” causes which are speculated but not confirmed publically yet (no one really knows).
Hyeri is popular for her roles in the dramas “Tasty Life” (2012), “Seonam Girls High School Investigators ” (2014),”Hyde Jekyll, Me“(2015), and Reply 1988.”
She has acted in movies including”Strange Object”(2017)and My Punch-Drunk Boxer.
Hyeri likes watching movies and reading books she’s also good at running marathons and writing.
Hyeri is best friends with Rosé (Blackpink). She was in a relationship with H.O.T’s member Tony An starting in March 2013 but they broke up after 8 months and she has been dating Ryu Jun Yeol since August 2017, both being lead actor/actress of Reply 1988 drama series during the time it aired from November 4 to December 24, on tvN network channel under CJ E&M’s production company Daejeon Arts Center; Hyeri had her contract expired at Dream Tea Ent., which ended January 11th 2019 without renewing before signing exclusive contract instead for Creative group ING Entertainment as announced April 30th 2019.
