Country Music Mourns the Loss of Grand Ole Opry Host and Radio Legend Bill Cody

The country music community is mourning the loss of Bill Cody, the beloved WSM Radio personality, longtime host of Coffee, Country & Cody, and cherished voice of the Grand Ole Opry. Cody passed away at the age of 67 following a serious illness.

News of his passing comes just days after his daughter, Hannah, asked fans and friends to pray for him as he battled heart and kidney failure in the ICU. In an emotional update shared in late May, she revealed that Cody was receiving ECMO treatment and facing a critical period as doctors evaluated whether he might qualify for a transplant.

“We need a miracle and we know God is able,” Hannah wrote at the time, asking supporters to keep her father in their prayers.
