Country music fans have a major reason to celebrate this week.
Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert are officially joining forces on a brand-new song, “Someone Else’s Arms,” arriving June 12 as part of Paisley’s exciting new Tacklebox project.
The collaboration brings together two of the most respected and accomplished artists in modern country music. With 25 No. 1 hits and multiple CMA Entertainer of the Year awards to his name, Paisley has long been one of the genre’s most beloved storytellers. Lambert, meanwhile, remains the most decorated artist in ACM Awards history and one of country music’s most influential voices.
“Someone Else’s Arms” marks the latest release from Paisley’s Tacklebox project, a unique musical venture that blends unreleased songs from the 1990s with brand-new material inspired by the traditional country sounds that helped define the 1980s and 1990s.
Paisley recently described the project as an ongoing collection of songs that fans can continue discovering over time.
“It’s almost like the fans have a direct link to my Dropbox or to a playlist that never ends,” he explained. “We are calling it Tacklebox because it’s a box full of hooks, country lyric hooks.”
The project is especially significant because it marks Paisley’s first major new music endeavor in nearly a decade, following the release of Love and War in 2017.
Now, he’s returning with one of country music’s biggest stars by his side.
For fans who love traditional country storytelling, powerful vocals, and collaborations between true genre heavyweights, “Someone Else’s Arms” is shaping up to be one of the must-hear releases of the year.
Two country music icons. One highly anticipated duet.
Friday can’t come soon enough. 🎤❤️🔥
