The newly married couple recently shared a sweet moment lip-syncing together to Wilson’s latest song, “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” and it’s about as adorable as newlywed content gets. Watching them sing along side by side feels less like a promotional clip and more like a glimpse into their real-life love story.
Released on June 4, the song features legendary guitarist John Mayer and was written during the final stretch of Wilson’s Whirlwind World Tour. Wilson later recorded the track at Mayer’s Chaplin Studios in Los Angeles, giving the song an intimate and personal touch.
At the heart of the track is the lyric:
“Jesus, Jones, Mama, my phone, keys, wallet, and you.”
And after seeing Wilson and Hodges together, it’s pretty obvious who that final “you” is about.
Wilson has described the song as a reflection of her fast-paced life and the person who helps keep her grounded through all of it.
“I feel like a tornado with boots on half the time, and this song is really about finding somebody who’s okay with that chaos and chooses to love you through it anyway,” she explained.
It seems she found exactly that person in Hodges.
The couple tied the knot on May 10 at Ruskin Cave in Tennessee and have been enjoying married life ever since. Their latest video captures the kind of effortless happiness that fans have loved watching throughout their relationship.
There’s something especially touching about seeing Hodges sing along to a song that was clearly inspired by him. No grand gestures, no over-the-top production—just two people completely comfortable with each other and enjoying a simple moment together.
In a world full of complicated love stories, Wilson’s checklist seems surprisingly simple:
