Despite Her Breakout Success, Ella Langley Hasn’t Forgotten Her Alabama Roots

Ella Langley may be having one of the biggest years in country music, but she says the things that keep her grounded are the same things that mattered before the sold-out shows, chart-topping songs, and award wins.

Fresh off the success of her album Dandelion, Ella Langley recently reflected on the values that continue to guide her as her career reaches new heights. While fans know her for her powerful songwriting and unmistakable style, Langley says staying connected to her roots remains her top priority.

“Staying close to family and reading my Bible are what keeps me humble and grounded,” she shared.

The Hope Hull, Alabama native has quickly become one of country music’s most talked-about artists, but her everyday favorites reveal she’s still the same small-town girl at heart. When asked about comfort food, Langley didn’t hesitate: brisket, mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, and coleslaw made the list. And when it came to the classic Southern debate between Cracker Barrel and Waffle House, she picked Cracker Barrel without a second thought.

Langley also opened up about the overwhelming response to Dandelion, saying one of the most rewarding parts has been seeing fans connect with the songs during her headline tour. From crowds lighting up arenas during emotional ballads to singing along to every word, she says those moments have made the album even more meaningful.

Musically, she credits country legends like Ronnie Milsap, Rosanne Cash, Patty Loveless, and Don Williams as major influences on the record.

As her star continues to rise, Langley remains focused on what matters most: family, faith, gratitude, and staying true to who she is. The stages may be bigger, the crowds may be louder, and the spotlight may be brighter, but Alabama is still at the heart of everything she does.

Sometimes the biggest success stories are the ones that never forget where they started. ❤️🌼🎶
