Ella Langley Brings “That’s Why We Fight” Full Circle on Dandelion Tour in Oklahoma City

Ella Langley gave fans a special moment during her Dandelion Tour stop in Oklahoma City when she performed “That’s Why We Fight”—marking the first time the Koe Wetzel collaboration has appeared on the tour.

The song was originally released on Langley’s Excuse the Mess EP in 2023, long before she became one of country music’s hottest stars. At the time, she was still grinding through the early stages of her career, opening shows and chasing opportunities wherever they came.

When Langley approached Koe Wetzel about joining the track, his answer was immediate.

“Absolutely.”

Wetzel later explained why the decision was so easy, saying, “Ella’s such a badass. You can tell pretty much as soon as you meet her, you’re gonna want to work with her.”

Back then, Langley’s reality looked very different from the one she’s living today. She was touring with Wetzel and traveling to arena shows in a dirty white van pulling a rented U-Haul because she didn’t even own a trailer. At one venue, a security guard reportedly refused to believe she was part of the show.

Fast forward to 2026, and the scene has completely changed.

Now, Ella Langley is headlining her own tour, selling out venues, collecting No. 1 hits, and performing that same song in front of thousands of fans who know every word.

Earlier this year, Wetzel praised her success during CRS, saying, “Everything she’s getting and has got going on right now, she deserves 100%.”

That’s what made the Oklahoma City performance feel so significant. “That’s Why We Fight” isn’t just another song in the setlist—it’s a reminder of where Langley started and how far she’s come.

From a rented U-Haul to headlining her own tour. From opening arena shows to owning the stage.

“That’s Why We Fight” hits a little differently now.
