Ella Langley is having a major moment—and she’s feeling all the emotions.
By now, fans everywhere know the words to her viral duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me.” The standout track from her 2024 debut album Hungover quickly became a fan favorite and shot to the top of the charts. Now, nearly a year after releasing her first full-length project, Langley is celebrating another huge achievement—this time with a solo song.
Her track “Weren’t for the Wind” has officially reached #1 on country radio.
“‘Weren’t for the wind’ is #1 on country radio baby!!!!!” Langley shared on Instagram, posting a Reel filled with tour highlights. “So proud of this song, everything that it’s done and continues to do. Thank y’all for loving this song.”
The 26-year-old singer went on to thank her co-writers, Joybeth Taylor and Johnny Clawson, along with her team, ending her message with heartfelt gratitude: “So grateful today. God is good 🤍.”
Fans and fellow artists quickly flooded the comments with congratulations. “We did it,” co-writer Johnny Clawson wrote. Lauren Daigle added, “One of my favorites!!! So well deserved.” Stylist Stefani Colvin praised Langley’s momentum, saying she’s “breaking records left and right,” while fans called her “the new face of country music” and applauded her unique, refreshing voice.
As she soaked in the milestone, Langley reflected on the long journey she’s shared with Joybeth Taylor. In a separate post featuring photos of the two over the years, she opened up about how meaningful the moment truly is.
“There’s no telling how many hours me and @joybethtaylor have put into having this moment together,” she wrote. “Since that day on my back porch—when we wrote our first song—we dreamed about getting a #1 together.”
She admitted there were times when success felt out of reach, but their belief never faded. “If you love my music, you also love Joybeth,” Langley continued. “I wouldn’t be the same without my sister in song and my favorite writing partner.”
Flying back to Nashville, overwhelmed with emotion, Langley said the reality of finally achieving their dream together brought her to tears. “We did it, JB,” she wrote.
And yes—this is definitely a tissue-worthy moment. 💛
