Ella Langley has officially announced her sophomore album, Dandelion, set for release on April 10, 2026, via SAWGOD/Columbia Records—and it’s shaping up to be her most personal work yet.
Executive produced by Langley alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West, Dandelion reflects a new chapter of growth and self-awareness. After pulling fans into the raw, real-life emotions of her 2024 debut hungover, Langley now offers a collection that balances honest reflection with moments of lightness and escape.
With the album announcement, Langley also revealed the deeper meaning behind its title.
“Dandelions are masters of survival, thriving in even the harshest environments, often dismissed as a common weed,” she shared in a social media trailer. “This unassuming plant carries a deeper symbolism of hope, healing, and resilience.”
She later added that discovering dandelion tea as a natural liver detox made the title feel like the perfect continuation after an album called hungover—a full-circle moment that felt both intentional and symbolic.
The vision for Dandelion was to create a record that feels “easy and effortless,” something listeners can play through their everyday lives while still connecting deeply to every lyric. Langley hopes the album captures the same magic as a summer evening spent watching fireflies.
“It feels like windows down on a red dirt road. It feels like the best kind of Sunday afternoon,” she explained. “It feels like those days I remember as a kid where there weren’t enough hours in the day. This record is really a love letter to that.”
Reflecting on the creative journey behind the album, Langley shared just how meaningful this project has been to her.
“This next record to me has so much growth in it. I feel the most myself I’ve ever felt,” she said. “I want you to dance. I want you to sing. I want you to relate to these words so you don’t feel alone in your thoughts. I want you to daydream and not worry about anything while listening to these songs.”
She added, “I want you to enjoy them with your friends and family. I’ve thought about this record every single day for the last year and a half, and I’m so excited to finally say—welcome to Dandelion.”
Leading the project is “Choosin’ Texas,” which continues to gain massive momentum. The song is currently holding strong in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for a third consecutive week, while also landing in the Top 5 at Country radio. With more than 240 million streams, it has become Langley’s most successful solo release to date and sets the tone for her most confident body of work yet.
Miranda Lambert—co-writer on “Choosin’ Texas” and executive producer of the album—shared her excitement and gratitude for being part of the project.
“Thank you Ella for ‘Choosin’ Texas’ to help you produce this amazing record,” Lambert wrote. “It’s been an honor working with you and Ben. I cherish your friendship, sister. You are a Dandelion, and I can’t wait for the world to hear this.”
Fans will get another preview of the album this Friday (Jan. 30) with the release of the title track “Dandelion,” co-written by Langley alongside Joybeth Taylor, Austin Goodloe, and Brett Tyler, accompanied by its official visualizer.
With Dandelion, Ella Langley isn’t just releasing new music—she’s inviting listeners into the most grounded, confident, and authentic version of herself yet. 🌼🎶
