The beloved talk show aired its final episode on August 31, 2026, bringing an end to a seven-year run filled with music, celebrity conversations, heartfelt stories and Clarkson’s signature Kellyoke performances. The finale, titled Kelly by Request, gave fans one final celebration with the singer and host.
But behind the celebration was a deeply personal decision.
Clarkson chose to step away from the daily demands of daytime television so she could focus more of her time and attention on her two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander. Her children were even part of the emotional final chapter, joining their mother during the farewell.
For someone whose career has been built around performing, recording music and appearing on television, walking away from a successful daytime show represents a major change.
Yet Clarkson has made it clear that family matters.
The decision also comes after an especially difficult period in her personal life.
