Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley Share a Hilarious Party Mishap Story

Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley may be country music collaborators, but their friendship goes far beyond the stage. The two recently revealed a funny behind-the-scenes moment that proves their bond includes plenty of unexpected adventures.

During an interview with Taste of Country, host Evan Paul asked Langley if there was anything he should bring up when speaking with Wilson later that day. With little explanation, Langley replied mysteriously, “Ask her if she has fixed that one deck.”

Naturally curious, Paul followed through — and Wilson immediately burst into laughter before sharing the story behind the inside joke. According to the “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” singer, Langley and her publicist once came over to hang out, and the group decided to relax on Wilson’s outdoor deck. What started as a casual evening of drinks and conversation quickly turned unforgettable when the deck suddenly collapsed beneath them.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. Wilson explained that the deck was small, so the fall wasn’t far, and although Langley’s publicist took a tumble, everyone ended up laughing more than anything else.

The funniest part? The deck still hasn’t been repaired — which is exactly why Langley suggested bringing it up during the interview.

Beyond the humorous mishap, Wilson has consistently shown strong support for Langley’s rising career. She has often praised her friend publicly, celebrating her achievements and even predicting major award wins. After Langley earned multiple ACM nominations in 2025, Wilson proudly said she wouldn’t be surprised if her friend “swept” the awards — a prediction that ultimately came true when Langley took home five trophies.

Their story is a reminder that behind the success and spotlight, genuine friendships — and unforgettable memories — are still at the heart of country music.
