The Voice Season 30 is almost here, and fans can expect the premiere week to look a little different this time around.
The new season begins Monday, September 21, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, with Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Adam Levine and Queen Latifah returning to the coaching panel. The four coaches will be looking for talented new artists during the highly anticipated Blind Auditions.
But the first week of Season 30 won’t follow the show’s usual schedule.
Three Episodes in Premiere Week
According to TV Insider, the first round of Blind Auditions will unfold across three episodes during premiere week.
The two-hour season premiere will air Monday night from 8 to 10 p.m. ET, followed by NBC’s new series Line of Fire at 10 p.m.
Fans will then get another episode on Tuesday, September 22, followed by a third episode on Wednesday, September 23. Both will be one-hour episodes airing from 8 to 9 p.m. ET, with the America’s Got Talent Season 21 finale and results following afterward.
After premiere week, The Voice will return to its regular Monday schedule, including a two-hour episode on September 28.
Live Shows Are Coming Back
The unusual premiere schedule isn’t the only change planned for Season 30.
Executive producer Audrey Morrissey revealed that the live-show portion of the competition is returning after it was left out of last season.
This time, viewers can expect six weeks of live shows, but the voting process will be different.
Instead of an overnight voting window, fans will vote in real time during the live broadcasts. Artists will perform, viewers will cast their votes, and fans will learn that same night which contestants are moving forward.
That change could make the live portion of the competition feel even more immediate, as the results will be revealed while the excitement is still unfolding.
With four high-profile coaches, a packed premiere week and the return of live shows, Season 30 is shaping up to be an exciting new chapter for The Voice.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see which artists turn the coaches’ chairs—and which singers make it all the way to the live stage.
