Landman fans have a new reason to get excited about Season 3.

James Jordan, who plays Dale on the hit series, recently gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the set, sharing a photo of his trailer marked with his character’s name. Alongside the photo, Jordan wrote, “Up n runnin’ and back after it!” while tagging the show and adding several hashtags.

The post immediately sparked excitement among fans, with viewers flooding the comments with fire emojis, applause, and messages about how much they are looking forward to the new season.

One fan wrote, “Can’t wait!” while another simply responded, “Finally.” Others expressed their excitement about seeing Jordan and the rest of the cast back at work.

Will There Be a Season 3 of Landman?

Yes. Paramount renewed Landman for a third season on December 5, 2025, following the strong performance of Season 2.

The second-season premiere delivered impressive numbers, attracting 9.2 million streaming views during its first two days. It also reportedly outperformed the Season 1 premiere by 262 percent and became Paramount+’s most-watched original-series premiere.

Despite the renewal, Paramount has not yet revealed specific plot details for Season 3, leaving fans wondering what will happen next.

Billy Bob Thornton Is Returning

Fans can also expect Billy Bob Thornton to return as Tommy Norris.

Thornton has previously said he signed on for four or five seasons of the show, putting to rest rumors that he would be leaving. In an interview with USA Today, he dismissed reports claiming he was exiting Landman, calling them “AI-generated crap.”

“There’s an AI report that Demi [Moore] and I are a couple now, and there’s one that I’m leaving the show,” Thornton said. “They have nothing to do with reality.”

Who Is Returning for Season 3?

Several familiar cast members are expected to return, including Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, James Jordan, Kayla Wallace, Paulina Chavez, and Mark Collie.

Colm Feore, who plays attorney Nathan, is also expected to continue in the series after becoming a regular during Season 2. Andy Garcia, who plays cartel boss Gallino, is likewise expected to return.

Sam Elliott will also be back as TL, Tommy Norris’ father.

Adding even more excitement, Lioness star Michael Kelly is joining Season 3 as a series regular. He will play William Crockett, described as the leader of the world’s largest oil management firm and a powerful figure in the industry.

When Will Season 3 Premiere?

Paramount has not announced an official premiere date for Season 3.

James Jordan previously revealed that filming was expected to begin sometime in September and continue through the first quarter of the following year. Based on that timeline, fans may have to wait until 2027 to see the new season.

For now, there are still plenty of unanswered questions about what Season 3 will bring. But with filming underway and much of the cast returning, Landman fans finally have something new to look forward to.
