Could another country music superstar be heading to East Camp?
After Riley Green made an appearance in Season 1 of CBS’ Marshals, fans may have another country favorite to look forward to in Season 2. This time, Yellowstone and Marshals star Luke Grimes has one particular name in mind: Chris Stapleton.
Grimes recently spoke with Woman’s World about his journey from his early acting roles to Fifty Shades of Grey, Yellowstone, and now Marshals. With Season 2 premiering Sunday, the actor also opened up about the possibility of bringing more familiar faces into the show’s world.
And when it comes to dream guest stars, Chris Stapleton would certainly be an intriguing choice.
Luke Grimes Wants Chris Stapleton in East Camp
Riley Green already brought a country music connection to Marshals during its first season. Green appeared in the series, giving fans a fun crossover between the world of country music and the Yellowstone universe.
Now, Grimes has suggested another country star he would love to see step into the action.
Chris Stapleton is known primarily for his music, but he has also become a familiar face beyond the stage through television appearances and other projects. Seeing him share the screen with Grimes could create an especially interesting moment for fans of both country music and the Yellowstone franchise.
Stapleton also fits naturally into the rugged, Western atmosphere associated with the franchise. His music has long carried themes of small-town life, hard living, love, loss, and perseverance—elements that often feel right at home in the world surrounding Yellowstone.
Of course, a dream casting idea is not the same thing as a confirmed appearance. There is currently no indication that Stapleton has officially joined the Season 2 cast, so fans will have to wait and see whether Grimes’ wish eventually becomes reality.
From Fifty Shades to Yellowstone and Marshals
For Grimes, the journey to Marshals has been a remarkable one.
Many viewers first became familiar with him through films such as Fifty Shades of Grey, but his role as Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone turned him into a major part of one of television’s biggest modern Western franchises.
That experience now continues with Marshals, where Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton in a new chapter of the Yellowstone universe.
The series gives fans a different look at Kayce as he moves into a new phase of his life and career, while still carrying the character’s connection to the world that made him a fan favorite.
With Season 2 arriving Sunday, viewers are already wondering what surprises the new season might bring.
And if Grimes gets his wish, perhaps one of those surprises could eventually involve Chris Stapleton riding into East Camp.
For now, though, Stapleton’s appearance remains a possibility rather than an announcement. But after Riley Green’s Season 1 appearance, the idea of another country star joining Marshals is certainly enough to get fans talking.
