Ella Langley Debuts New Tattoo and Claps Back at Fan Criticism

“Choosin’ Texas” singer Ella Langley is choosing fresh ink — and confidently standing by her decision after facing online criticism.

Langley brought fans along on her tattoo journey through her Instagram Story on Tuesday (February 17), documenting the process as tattoo artist A.J. Lingerfeldt helped transform an older design on her arm. The original tattoo, a tequila shot glass with a lime, was covered with a more meaningful piece.

The new artwork features a large pair of flowers, resembling roses, placed over the previous tattoo. Beneath them sits a delicate dandelion in its fluffy seed stage — a clear nod to Langley’s upcoming sophomore album, Dandelion. The singer’s choice shows just how personally significant the new project is, marking it permanently in ink.

Langley later shared before-and-after photos revealing the transformation from the original tattoo to the finished design.

While many fans praised the new look, one Facebook user criticized her decision, suggesting she would soon have a full sleeve — something he implied wasn’t a good idea.

Langley didn’t hesitate to respond. In a humorous video posted to her Instagram Story, she fired back, joking, “I will get one on my eyeball, Steve. I will get one on my eyeball.”

Her playful reaction made it clear: she loves her new tattoo and isn’t worried about outside opinions.

New Album Dandelion Arrives April 10

The tattoo comes just weeks ahead of the release of Langley’s upcoming album, Dandelion, set to drop on April 10. The project is co-produced by Langley alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West.

To support the album, Langley will launch a tour beginning May 7 in Toledo, Ohio, spanning 16 dates before concluding August 15 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Several tracks from Dandelion have already been released, including the title track and the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Choosin’ Texas.” She also debuted a new song, “Be Her,” on February 13, accompanied by an official music video.
