Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” Has Made A Staggering Amount Of Money… But How Much, Exactly?

As Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” continues its record-breaking run at the top of the charts, the massive hit is also bringing in millions of dollars.

Last week, “Choosin’ Texas” made history by reaching 23 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the previous record. As of September 28, the song had extended its incredible reign to a 24th week.

Langley’s rise is remarkable. In 2023, she had fewer than one million monthly Spotify listeners. Today, that number has grown to roughly 32 million, reflecting just how dramatically her career has taken off.

With more than 1.6 billion streams worldwide, “Choosin’ Texas” has become one of the biggest songs of Langley’s career—and its success is translating into significant revenue.

According to Billboard, using global data from Luminate, “Choosin’ Texas” had generated an estimated $13.9 million worldwide as of September 14. In the United States alone, the song was estimated to have brought in approximately $10.5 million.

Those estimates include revenue from audio streaming, global video streaming, digital sales, and domestic radio airplay.

Of the total, Billboard estimated that the song had generated about $2.4 million from U.S. radio airplay, following more than 977,000 spins. Global publishing royalties were estimated at nearly $6 million, while global label revenue approached $8 million.

However, these figures don’t represent the amount Ella Langley personally takes home. The exact terms of her agreements with Sawgod and Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Group, have not been publicly disclosed.

The estimates also do not include certain revenue and publishing royalties connected to Dandelion, the album featuring “Choosin’ Texas.”

With the song continuing to dominate the charts and rack up streams, Langley’s record-setting hit has become not only a major musical achievement but also a powerful financial success.
