The Kelly Clarkson Show is coming to an end after seven seasons, marking the close of a major chapter in Kelly Clarkson’s daytime television career.
Clarkson announced on Monday, Feb. 2, that the current season will be the show’s final one. In a statement shared on Instagram, the singer and host expressed her gratitude to the people who helped make the program possible, including her band and crew, celebrity guests, fans, and NBC.
Clarkson, 43, said the decision was not easy but explained that stepping away from the show’s demanding daily schedule will allow her to “prioritize” her children and focus on the next chapter of their lives.
The announcement comes months after the death of Clarkson’s former husband and talent manager, Brandon Blackstock, who died from cancer in August. Although the talk show is ending, Clarkson made it clear that she is not stepping away from entertainment. The program will continue airing through fall 2026 and will feature a lineup of special guest hosts. Clarkson also plans to continue making music and appearing as a coach on The Voice.
Reflecting on the show’s seven-season run, Clarkson thanked viewers for welcoming the program into their lives and supporting it throughout the years.
